We were thrilled to be highlighted in the most recent issue of the Jewish News.
There are many ways to help make a difference for families in our community.
Non-Discriminatory Policy: The Oasis School admits students of any race, color, sexual orientation, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The Oasis School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sexual orientation, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
The Board of Trustees of The Oasis School, a co-ed, community Jewish High School that was to open with its inaugural freshman class in the Fall of 2023, regretfully announces that it has voted unanimously to dissolve operations.
Interest in a community school appeared to be high among prospective parents and students. However, after careful consideration, Oasis’ lay and professional leadership determined that there were insufficient financial resources to fulfill Oasis’ vision of a high-quality academic institution. Oasis has notified its enrolled students for the incoming freshman class, as well as those families who expressed interest in enrolling, of its closure.
Efforts in recent months, as well as over the past few years, to merge with Nishmat Adin – Shalhevet Scottsdale, did not come to fruition, due to a variety of factors.
Since 2018, the Board of Trustees has dedicated itself to the establishment of a Jewish community high school for the growth and sustainability of the Phoenix/Scottsdale Jewish community and its future. The Board wishes to express its gratitude to each of Oasis’ donors for their partnership and support of Oasis’ mission.
The Board of Trustees also wishes to thank its Founding Head of School, Jerry Isaak-Shapiro, for his vision, dedication and commitment to Oasis and his incredible work.
