Oasis School Announces it will be located on the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus

The community’s new Jewish High School will be holding its classes this fall on the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus.

The only co-educational community Jewish High School in Phoenix / Scottsdale – The Oasis School – will open for its 2022 Fall inaugural semester on the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus. “I could not imagine a better site for our school,” Jerry Isaak-Shapiro, Oasis’ Founding Head of School, said to the school’s Board of Directors at their recent Board meeting. Newly relocated from Cleveland, where he was a Head of School for seventeen years, Isaak-Shapiro noted that, “Everyone – and I mean everyone – has been genuinely excited when we shared this news. Not only will this school be woven into the heart of the Jewish community; we’re now quite literally part of the physical center of the community.”

Tobi Rifkind, President of the Oasis Board, was equally enthusiastic. “As someone who truly loves this community, and as a parent who believes firmly in serious, life-transforming Jewish education, I know that a truly inclusive school is right for our community’s future. That Oasis will now hold its classes on the same campus alongside Pardes Jewish Day School, The J, the Jewish Federation and its other agencies – it makes perfect sense for all of us.”

The Oasis School is accepting applications for its first semester, and interested and prospective students and their families can find the application and other information on the school’s website, https://theoasisschool.org. Founding Head of School Isaak-Shapiro added that, “After nearly thirty years in Jewish education, I’m more convinced than ever that a school that reaches out to and teaches a broad segment of our community is more necessary than ever before. I look forward to being a part of such a dynamic, exciting, growing Jewish community.”
